A New Kind of Muscle Pain

not only am a struggling to get my muscles moving again, but im also struggling to get all their names in my head. i have a major lab practical tomorrow and it's all i can think about.

any nurses out there know how hard nursing school is. i dont know how any one does this. and muscles are just a very small part of the horror that awaits me.

thank you to everyone who left a comment on my SOS post. i still dont think ive decided for sure on a eating plan. weight watchers sounds really good, but i cannot afford it. and i dont know if i can figure it all out on my own. really all my brain power is going to Human Anatomy.

Wish me LUCK!!!!!!

Hi! WW online is a cheap option, join for a short time to get started and then go it alone if you feel up to it. Just another suggestion.

A few little tips. First, I'm a bachelor and I hate cooking. One of my roommates happens to have a George Foreman grill. Now I was skeptical at first, but I love it now. It'll cook a frozen piece of chicken in about 5 minutes with no work from me! I also use the microwaveable bags of frozen vegetables and the microwaveable Uncle Ben's wild grain rice. BAM! (a la Emeril ) a quality meal in 5-7 minutes with little cleanup.

I too am going to school and I have homework and quizzes almost every night. One little thing I've started doing is taking small breaks in the middle of studying and doing calisthenics. Push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, squats, lunges, etc. And I'm only talking about 10 of one of those per break. Do it a few times in the course of a night and it adds up! Especially those lower body moves.

Good luck with the human anatomy. That is always difficult. I hate memorization!!

Cheap options:

OPTION ONE: Spark people has FREE meal plans!!

OPTION TWO: Counting calories is totally free and doable. Simple plan: Stay under 1500 calories, take a multivitamin, try to eat the food groups - but don't stress if you don't, walk at least thirty minutes a day. No excuses. Its easy. Simple. Free. Don't make it complicated. This is what I do day in and day out.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR TEST!!

I just eat Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice meals; when I was married I did cook but now that I'm divorced and living alone it's a pain to cook for just myself, so I nuke it. The only thing you have to watch with those is sodium; they have a lot of salt.

Good luck with human anatomy; it's a fascinating yet challenging subject! You'll be fine though!
